Boston Summer 2011

While we were in Rhode Island Henry had a day off and we decided to drive the hour north to spend the day in Boston.  We went to the Commons and rode the Swan Boats and played on Mrs. Mallards ducks, walked the entire Freedom Trail for the first time (we'd both walked parts but not the whole thing), watched street performers, at clam chowder, rode a ferry, went to Harvard, and enjoyed one of the most beautiful summer days in New England.

Here's what one looks like

Hanging on one of Mrs. Mallard's babies.  Read "Here Come the Ducklings" to hear the back story.

Addie and Mrs. Mallard

Where's Waldo aka Addie and Carter?  They got stuck on the steps in front of the capital while a tour group came down.

Carter thought the cemeteries were playgrounds.  We were so afraid he was going to ruin one of the old headstones.

Paul Revere was here

Riding the ferry back in the harbor and passing by the site of the Boston Tea Party
