So much to say...

It's been weeks and I feel like I could update a thousand things because we've been so busy. Rather than have a million blog posts, I'm going to break the past few weeks up into a few smaller ones. That way it's not so overwhelming but we don't have 50 new posts either. Where to start... we moved out of our house on the 23rd on June and Henry's mom arrived on the same day. The packers left quite a bit to be desired and we're quite certain several things are going to show up broken and one box for sure contains a wet dishrag so that one will be nice and smelly come next week. The actual movers were good and they moved quite quickly. They had our whole house done by 4 which was a major step up over the people who moved us out of our house in VA.

Our initial plan was to "camp" in our house until we had to vacate on the 1st but that got to be a bit much for everyone, espcially the kids. Addie was quite confused and didn't understand where her stuff was. One morning we found her looking out of her window crying and at that point we decided to move to the TLF early. The first TLF was fine and since it was a night week and I had a babysitter, Grandma, I went over to Magan's TLF to enjoy some trash TV, the Bachelorette.  I got home, Henry got home, and he said he smelled gas.  We called the operator, the fire department came out and sure enough, there was a leak in the stove.  So at midnight, they moved us as well as the family next door to another unit.  We decided since they had shut off the gas that we would leave the kids and Margery and move them after we moved our stuff.  We get to the second TLF and sure enough, gas again.  The fire department comes out, shuts down the until and we move for the third time.  It's not almost 1 and we are so tired.  This one is good and we get moved in and everyone gets back to bed sometime around 2.  YUCK!  But, coming to the TLF early did prove to be the right decission and it gave us a few more days to hang out with the Echols' who happened to be living in a TLF a block over. Carter finally started playing boy stuff with Jackson and he has been asking for him everyday since they left.

Of course the goodbye was brutal but we know that we will see them again very soon. We sure do miss all five of them though.

The same day we said goodbye to them we drove over to Destin to pick Henry's dad up from the airport.  We stopped at Pier Park and had dinner and then let the kids run around and play.  Since it was Henry's birthday we also picked up some yummy frozen yogurt at his new favorite place, YoGurty.  You can make your own TCBY like yogurt concoctions that are super yummy.

The next few days we worked on the house getting it into tip top shape and celebrated the 4th.  Lynn Haven did their parade on the 3rd and again, the firetrucks were a hit.

That evening our friends from the squadron and church, Jeff and Christy Ward, invited us over for a BBQ and fireworks.  Jeff had some fabulous Alabama sized ones and we (me) had fun shooting them off in the front yard.  I grew up with a street full of burnt fireworks and sparklers and Henry grew up going to the local display so we see things a little different when it comes to the 4th.  I love front yard fun and I'm pretty sure his mom and dad thought we were a bit crazy for giving our three year old a sparkler.  But she loved it as did Carter.

To be continued...
