The Reason Why I Miss Florida...

Back in 2002 when we lived in Panama City while Henry was going through the F-15 B-course I never thought I would live in PC again, much less live there for three years and never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I might miss it.  But I do.  I miss the sweet people and the laid back attitude.  I miss Publix.  I miss knowing where everything is in Target.  Most of all I miss our friends, specifically the Baber's and the Young's.  These families are so dear to me and what's more they mean the world to Addie.  Morgan and Kayleigh were Addie's school besties and she talks about them every day.  We drove into town, dropped Henry off, and headed straight to Morgan's house.  The girls hugged, giggled, and I saw my old Addie again.  A little bit of her has been missing for past 9 months and finally I saw the spark she'd lost.  And that my friends makes me miss Panama City most of all because it's where my daughter is happy.

Friday the girls played hooky from school and we hit the beach.  To be honest, I never really loved going to the beach before because it was so much work with the littles.  But now that they are older it was SO. MUCH. FUN!  They ran in the water, tried to build castles, got a great dose of vitamin D, and were just so happy.  And what was even better is that us moms could sit on our blankets, enjoy the sun, chit chat, and not once did we have to get in the water!

Look at Carter's bum... the suit just kept falling down and it was cracking us up!

Before we left Tammy had us over for a play date in her fabulous back yard.  Tammy as always was an incredible host and we had so much fun playing.  Henry was able to take the afternoon off and so he watched Carter while Addie went to play on her own.  It was fun to see her interact without her brother there.

The day we left town we met at our favorite little park on Harvard to say goodbye.  It was hands down one of the worst parts of the trip.  We miss these friends so much already and cannot wait for another reunion.  I'm so happy Addie has made such wonderful life long friends.
